New and trying to figure out which class to trial?Â
Everything is beginner friendly, pick a class and let us know when you're coming in. But if you don’t have any experience, we recommend not hopping in and sparring at least for the first couple weeks till you start learning some basic jiu jitsu body movements.Â
Class info
Gi Jiu Jitsu is a great class to learn Grappling/Ground Techniques in the tradition with a kimono. Â You will learn throws, takedowns, wrestling, Grip fighting, Joint locks/Submissions.Â
No Gi Jiu Jitsu is very similar to Gi Jiu Jitsu, It’s just a little bit faster paced. The attire is a rash guard and shorts specifically made for BJJ. You will learn a lot of fundamental and advanced wrestling. Sweeps, How to recover from scrambles, Chokes, joint locks, Foot sweeps, etc.  Some people say this is a young man’s game, but it truly is an art form for all ages.Â
The Control Lab is a Series of classes created by head coach and founder Professor Rudy Rexx Canales. Where the focus (Whether it’s an advanced or beginner class) is situational and positional specific. This is a class led by body movements, relevant warm-ups, goal-driven games and situational sparring before we even get into the Technique portion of class.Â
Muay Thai is offered three days a week, Our instructors with 30 years combined experience. And often times this class is substituted with Sanda. Another beautiful, striking art form that includes clenching, elbow strikes, knee, strikes, kicks, and wrestling takedowns.
