Rudy Rexx, 3rd degree BJJ Black belt. Owner/head instructor of Violet Crown. Started Brazilian jiu jitsu in 2005 with Sean Cooper. Awarded his black belt after 9 years of training from Cleber Luciano and Sean Cooper, October 2014. Coach Rudy has always felt his place to shine was teaching and coaching. Running Violet Crown for 4 years, and teaching at Cooper MMA for well over a decade, he’s had great success seeing his students achieve championships at local/national IBJJF tournaments, MMA (past and present) and local pro BJJ superfights.
Rudy has 18 years of experience, teaching BJJ. And has been a huge advocate on teaching how to apply specific body movement to avoid injuries in Martial Arts. And has also taught the benefits of developing agility, strength, and athleticism for success. A world renowned Bboy that competed with Havikoro for over 25 years internationally, the same training methods he uses for jiu jitsu.
Rudy has also competed at every belt level with success, but the focus has never been on competition since he’s been teaching for so long. it’s always been about the students. And still tell this day he preached the importance of helping others and being a positive mentor for the up-and-coming generation.
Rudy is a 3rd degree BJJ black belt and has been training for 21 years straight.
