Made for the real world, BJJ is a form of self-defense that every person should master. BJJ focuses on ground-level altercations – utilizing holds, throws, blows, and a variety of submission techniques. This makes Jiu Jitsu ideal when learning how to take on an opponent who may be larger than you, without necessarily having to hurt them.

Most of our No Gi classes are led by Professor Rudy Canales and have a great group of instructors on staff that regularly continue their studies to share the school’s curriculum safely with new students.

This discipline sets itself apart from other martial arts due to its distinctive style of boxing. Muay Thai utilizes eight points of contact, rather than the four that similar styles, such as kickboxing, use. In Violet Crown’s Muay Thai classes, you’ll be using all eight contact points for punches, knee strikes, elbow strikes, kicks, and more. If you’re looking for something that will challenge what you think you know about martial arts, you’ve come to the right place.

Our Muay Thai instructor Andrew Munoz is amazing. He leads the class with a warm-up and finishes strong with technique and pad work. It is Thailand’s national sport, a beautiful style of kickboxing that incorporates elbow strikes, takedowns, knees, kicks, punches, and clinch work.

Our kids classes are great for building confidence, coordination, and teamwork. Kids will find a sense of belonging in our uplifting environment. At Violet Crown your children will not only learn a great martial art that keeps them active, they will be around other like minded, positive, and motivated kids. Our kids learn to stand up for themselves and be proud of their accomplishments on and off the mats.
